The Ogilvy group is one of the world’s most successful agencies. David Ogilvy founded our agency in 1948 in partnership with an agency that traces its history back to 1850. With over 450 offices in 120 countries, we help clients worldwide build enduring brands and create powerful campaigns that address local market needs while still reinforcing the same universal brand identity.
David Ogilvy was one of the first great thinkers on developing brands and coined the term “brand image” almost over 50 years ago. Our success since then comes through combining world-class brand thinking and creativity with a full-range of marketing communications.
Ogilvy & Mather Japan, a leading company in the group, opened its doors for business in 1995. Today, there are 6 disciplines which have different marketing communication specialties and a newly established design unit in the group. It also has a strong working relationship with Red Wasabi Marketing Consultant that provides strategic marketing consultation to Japanese brands in China and overseas. The Ogilvy Japan Group breaks through the conventions and stereotypes of Japanese advertising to provide innovative services that go beyond typical media and communication techniques.
